Before 1998 , IT and Technology is an Asset to the company interms of bringing in profit and efficientcy , but now were just a BIG COST CENTRE.
Below are some of the comments the business always target we IT people and the answer . These comments and answers are compiled from various IT people from various companies.

Few things I realise what people think about IT staff doing support work is:
1. you are not the profit centre of the company
2. you only incure cost to support the profit centre
3. you are the easiest to be blamed because you are support
4. even if you are busy, if you can't solve someone else's problem IMMEDIATELY or at least on the same day, then you are not doing anything at work
5. if you are not automating other people's job, you are not doing your job
6. if the PC doesn't work the way the user wants it to, it's your fault
7. if the PC gets virus, it's your fault
8. if the email is slow, it's your fault
9. if users can't access certain websites, it's your fault
10. if the user forgets their password, system is "lauya"(lousy)
11. if you cannot prove that IT does miracles, it's your fault
12. Business can only be angry at you and not the other way
Our reply to the user:
1. all we know is if we don't work, the profit centre CAN'T work
2. because you fucking want to automate everything and make your job easy, solutions cost money
3. because u have no fucking knowledge of how to use a fucking PC normally
4. sorry, we are not supporting only your PC, please line up
5. ok, we shall automate all your job and cut your pay, cos now, all yo have to do is monitor the job
6. friend, if you upgrade from 2000 to XP, of course there are changes, if no changes then why the fuck wanna upgrade?
7. yeah, who's the fucker who's been downloading porn, visitng porn sites, bringing in MP3s from pasar malam?
8. don't send 10MB attachments to the whole world la de!

10. don't type so fast macam ada gaya la. You're more prone to keying in passwords wrongly this way
11. IT can create miracles, only if you understand it, it's not about one red button for you to click and everything's done. It's about you understand what it can help you do and making full use of it
12. With stupid users how not to get angry? eg My monitor spoil liao ,REPLACE it NOW (stupid user didn't check that he accidently kicked the CPU because his boss scold him and the monitor power cable got loosed)
