Is That Time again,

Yes Is that time of the year again , I ponder the significance of it? The value of it? and just maybe I'm looking at it from a very wrong and cynical angle.

Can't really seem to recall that many time, but last year was the worse. Indeed it was , the past never ceases to haunt no matter how many steps/barriers/nets/guns/swords/ I set up.

Lamenting and complaining won't do anything, and neither will blogging. Damn! It!.
These annual thingy has seriously reached a point when I"m starting to loathe it.

Sighhhh sometimes I seriously wonder, but I'm done wondering, Action seems to be getting no where concrete either , more like moving in one big square and round and round in circle in a maze within a maze.

So what does the masses have to say about it? I know the talk, I walked the TALK a time ago, I know the drill and frills, I know the phrase and the logic behind it. So just for once, leave me be, go home to your routine , feed the dogs and cats.

While I'll get through this like I always do

UgHHhHH down again..

Yes love to post more pics, they are scanned..but i'm sick,
been on MC for 2 days, diarhea, tummy ache ,fever and sore throat.

Anyway here are some lyrics from ATB- No silence Album - Ectasy. which I've played the whole Saturday and drove my colleagues crazy. (Yes got to work even though I'm sick.. :( )

Have you ever noticed,
That I’m not acting as I used to do before?
Have you ever wondered,
Why I always keep on coming back for more?

What have you done to me,
I’ll never be the same I'll tell you for sure
I’ll never be the same I'll tell you for sure
I’ll never be the same I'll tell you for sure

You really are my ecstasy,
My real life fantasy, oh yeah
You really are my ecstasy,
My real life fantasy, oh yeah

Not that I’m complaining,
A more beautiful vision - I have never seen ,
If you don’t mind me saying,
A lifelong ambition to fulfill my dream ,

What have you done to me,
I’ll never be the same I'll tell you for sure
I’ll never be the same I'll tell you for sure
I’ll never be the same I'll tell you for sure
You really are my ecstasy, My real life fantasy, oh yeah

Inida:

Ahhh The jewel of the East , some say. It has it's wonders and pitfalls, magnificient buildings of ages grand, and the underside of over industrial accelerated development.
At places it can be the first owrld countries it strives to be at some places, it is really not worth speaking it here, it will do injustice to India. You know the stories, seeing is believing, That's all I can say.

The GLobal IT Trekker:

Never in my life have I flown so many times in so short a timespan to so many countries. My half a month Foreign Legionaire Expedition took me from the
Motherland(KL) -> Manila(phillipines) > Guam(U.S.A) > Seoul(Korea) >Ulsan(Korea) > Bangkok (Thailand) > Bombay (India) > Bangalore (India) >New Delhi (India) > KL (Da motherland).

The schedule was utterly insane and the work load murderous, but we pulled through, and even had a bit of time as part time tourist, (eventhough we were constantly intoxicated by Jet lagg!!)

Finally got the photos will post it up ASAP, can't really put any "Work" photos or I might get sacked under the companies privacy laws, so sorry boys and gals no "wicked" pics of IT devices or ultra cool shots on the oil platforms.
|
ThE Return:

In a perpectual state of drunkedness caused by the constant jet lagg of hopping from countries and countries and time zones form time zones, I glide to the office in gurgaon an ohur from delhi to deal the final blow with my now almost zombified International technial Commandoes,

How many IT engineers does it take to find a taxi?

Yup questions like that caused our cognitive neuro senses to go into an infinite loop, besides wrestling each other for the toilets!!

oh and the pigsss yes "Modern garbage vacuum cleaners" , it's really a sight to see pigs going along the road eating everything organic up, Cute I'll say, Mad my teammates would say, wanted to pet them but oh well Mr,Z and Gozilla got to stop me from throwing myself and having a photo snap with the 'modern vacuum cleaners". That's how delirious I was,

Anyway we met Paratha King at Gurgaon at the target site, and we were ready to blow this mission sky high and return back to the motherland. Except the memory ran out during installation.. NOooOooooooooo , of all things we did not forsee that we did not have enough memory, it INCONCEIVABLE , In disgrace we pack our back and swore that we will upgrade it remotely "We'll be back!!! Cyberly" cringes Mr.Z as we flew off delhi back to the motherland! while the rest of us were still cringing our stomachs and throwing demented laughter at each other like "Uncle Lee Belanja" , "No LAhhH''' ECHOES Jacky Chan..

The Endd..

We'll be back....

Yes i know the post is getting demented but it was 'dementing' at the very final hour

My younger sis:

Note: My younger sis has finally achieved the age of "Perasan" AKA "Fatt Hou".

(smacks hands on face)

supplementary: On MC tomorrow, going to toilet every hour is not productive at all
|
Back to da motherland!!!!! back from the foreign expeditionary force!

Yes yes I'm home, not without casualty, me and 2 other of my team members Mr.Z and Godzilla have taken damages to our stomach. The rations from India have left us incapicitated for at least tomorrow.

The war in India lasted 7 days, The fantastic four (me, Jacky Chan ,Z and Godzilla) parachuted in the middle of the night and infiltrated Bombay, with the help of local partisans Bolly Woodman and Kama Kama . The fighting was heavy and the enemy unrelentless, infrastructure was a problem, we didn't have a stable supply line and were forced into hit and run tactics, nevertheless we conquered Bombay and made good time to Bangalore.

By this time we noticed that the rations were tainted and the team drop to 80% operational efficientcy. The fortress of Bangalore was very hidden indeed, even the local pilots could not locate the HQ after 2 hours of endless driving, with our EVAC plane leaving to New Delhi for the final confrontation with or without us, we madly rushed once again in a Blietzrieg to finish off Mission Bangalore, .

We did it not without compromising on the team morale and defence, without R&R the team including me were making very VERy VERY frequent trips to the toilet, except for Jacky Chan, his internal "Chi" must have kept him from succumbing from the ration toxic. Kama Kama and Bolly Woodman will remain in the Bangalore front to cover our backs, .

At this point I pondered calling for reinforcement from Korea, Mr.Yon and Terminator, but by the time they arrived the battle would have been over.

So I did what anybody in my position would do,

Have a Shot of Scotch Whiskey and SOLDIER on.,

to be continued..

Auditing in Korea~~

Yes yes everyone treats auditors nice.... Yup Nice,,,, nice at the airport, nice at the office, nice after words but in truth.

NOT

Deep inside we all know that everyone hate auditors , even IT auditors, especially goodie-tootshoes first time internal (not external mind you, external auditors get more respect) like me.

Seoul reminds me of a merger of China and Japan, the palaces has the grandeur and awe of China with the calming effect and picturesque of Japanese palaces. As an auditor I had a little more time to visit sights than Guam , (Yes photos will be up as soon as I as I whenever ^_^) anyway
watali watala the most stress wasn't from the Korean counterparts but one of my "TeammateS" Godzilla, man we almost miss 2 flights because he couldn't wake up!!! we got to go to his room knock, and shout his name across the hotel hall at 3.am in the moening to wake him up (flight at 4.30 am) , so you can imagine the embarssment, yes he sleeps with the TV on and he can't hear the phone, can't really blame him though for he suffers from insomnia, only complication would be me explaining to a throng of managers why we miss the flight and push back the already delayed schedule by another week. Luckily that had not happened Yet, (I'm keeping my fingers cross because there's still India!)

I also took my first walk on an inshore oil-platform/refinary in Korea Ulsan, really hot man, air-con is redundant as the seethes through the wall, felt like in a suana/owen.

Other than that Koreans are cool, except maybe some gals look a bit fake, plastic surgery had become a way of life here, especially on the face, much like boob jobs in the west.

Will update you on India once I get the chance, not not for auditing . This time as heroes, hopefully. ^_^

till then

I'm Back!!!!

Well not exactly hahahaha only for a few hours while I transit from Seoul to India in Bangkok.

So what can I say ,there will be lots of pic this I promise.

Hafda Adi!!! Yup that's Welcome in Chemosean (native langugge of Guam), all I can say the island is so much better than Redang!! expensive Yes!! all in USD , but the best part there's more Asian there (Korean and Japs!) then local USA Citizen!

Mann!!! The island particurlary lives off tourism!!! and the beach and sea ,,WOW.. pictures will come. Yes Yes yes onces I get them scanned. Work there was cool too , didn't throw up that much, if not I'll be throwing up in my own Shirt... well that's for another story.

It is soooooo Asian influence it's so hard just to get local AMERICAN food, out of 5 restaurants 4 of them would either be Japanese or Korean restaurant,

If someone abduct you and throw you into this island, you would think your on Okinawa or some Korean island because even the toilets have jap/korean language!!

Highlight of the trip was the "Native" Hawaian dance, man the way they shake their hips, (think Lilo And stitch Hawaian dance"), can send a guy flying across the hall and fracture his skull. Power that's all I can say power.

more to come soon! about Seoul. p/s Guam is cheaper than Seoul. in terms of cost of living and etc, the island is about the size of singapore if you track the perimeter by car it only takes 4 hours.

What was i doing therE? Holiday, I wish , maybe just a little bit, but the rest was hard solid work.

BAh Kut Teh, Best served with Rice and "Yao Char Kuay" (Fried flour tid bits ) and "Taufu pok" .  Posted by Picasa
|
AhH good Bah KUt Teh,

Yes i'm an Advid "Bah Kut Teh" eater, now the direct translation of "Bah Kut Teh" means MEat Bone Tea, but it's actually this very nice and delicious herbal soup stew with pork ribs or chicken (if you don't eat pork).

Me, Penang Boy and Da OuG Gal went for a "BAH KUT TEH" Excursion, not to KLANG (Land of the good Bah KUt Teh) but to "Old Genting Road" to eat "Sang Kuat" Bah KUt Teh, or in translation "Raw Bone". whummmm just thinking of it makes me hungrYyyyyyyyy, Will attach a pic of what "Bah Kut Teh" looks like. Mind you it is only a South East Asian Chinese Dish, don't expect to find it in other Chinese Restaurant at other part of the world, even in Hong Kong or China!, unless of course it is a Malaysia/Kiasuland (Singaporean) Chinese Restaurant!!

Whumm just thinking about it makes me hungry again,, aiksss.

ON work the rain in Bombay seems to be relentless, may need to postpone my project again for another week,, ughhhhhh need a compromise, India can wait, korea and Guam can't anymore.
