The underside of BloggingAt times I noticed , that blogging is not just an online diary of expression or an outlet to release memories, opinions and emotions. But also as a multi input of all those from other sources.
Blogging has evolved from the "Stand Alone" complex of the standard diary , eg . I write, for myself and that's it, da hell with the world.
Contemporary times suggest that blogging also requires (not a must but more often than nought) the blogger to read other blogs. Not just as a mean of comparison, joining the main stream, keeping in touch but rather of curiosity and also support of these new sub-culture of cyberface (blogging).
Which brings me back to the point, Not only are bloggers releasing their "self" to the cyberspace, but they are taking more of "it" back into them by reading other blogs.
I do admit , that this is not entirely bad as bloggers can rejoice at one other accomplishment and relish on their acquaintance success and progress in life (whether it is a fictional life or not is still debatable)
Yet the more dominant effect of these readings of other blogs instills jealousy, stress, melancholic expression ,anger and at times hatred. Those that latched back with these emotions are typically known as "trolls" but nevertheless still bloggers.
What are the benefit of blogging then if all you get are negative feelings from it?
Wouldn't it be better to just be a cyber-introvert ? and isolate from the mainstream thought?
Truths are revealed and are hurtful, whether directly or indirectly by the blogging blogger directed to the intended reader blogger (usually this is done unknowingly) that is detrimental to the person state of mind and emotions.
The intensity of the "pain" varies from each individual blogger, it could be as simple of not being acknowledged by a fellow blogger or blogs dedicated to bad mouthing the other blogger directly.
A lot of bloggers would probably say these "So what? Read my blog at your own risk, it's not my fault you're feeling hurt because of my content" . Ah my fellow bloggers I refused to concur, what is the fundamental definition of blogging? An online public diary/outlet generally intended for the blogger alone.
The definition may differ from blogger but the term "public" should not be taken lightly especially those "femme" bloggers.
After all propaganda and information control won many wars indirectly.
Maybe I'm just getting old or I'm too much of a classical, I'll probably be "flamed" somewhere as always, but I do know I'm not alone in my views.
My 2 cents worth to the reading-bloggers, "read at your own risk, it's a gamble, you may feel better, nothing or worse after reading other bloggers blog" , to the blogging bloggers " take heed and be tactful, empires have fallen and lives are ruined by less""
to the artistic blogger ,"Do as you please inhibition of your "Artistry" is detrimental to your artistic health. Worlds may collapse but hey I'm an artist I don't care right?"
to the trolls" Take a break go on a cyber hiatus or at least stop being a reading-blogger for a while"
to the casual blogger "Think twice just for a fraction of a seconde before you blog , after all it's public, who knows who is reading (that's what make blogging exciting also)'
to myself " Bloggers are after all still people ,probably just wearing various mask, to ere is human, to forgive is divine."
